The clear best option was to not post then. Someone's actions from a year ago have no relevance to your actions.

Also, a message to everyone once again:

QUOTE(the rules)
Mini-Modding/Backseat Modding (0-3)
Do not respond to anyone who is breaking the rules; warning and punishing members is the job of the administrators and moderators, and not yours. DO NOT respond to anyone breaking the rules. If you see anyone breaking the rules, the best action you can take is to make use of the report button. The message will be sent via e-mail to a staff member, and they will deal with it accordingly. If you see no action taking place within 24 hours, contact a staff member directly via PM/IM.
The reason we ask people not to respond is to avoid any potential flaming/trolling. We appreciate a member's willingness to help; we simply ask that you do it properly.
1st offense: verbal warn
2nd offense: 10% warn
3rd offense: 30% warn

-If the guilty member responds to a verbal warning in the topic, it will be considered flaming. If you wish to make an apology, do it through PM/IM.
-If a verbally warned member - or any other member - has any questions, they are to be directed to the staff member via PM/IM.
-If the guilty member responds to their warning via topic/post, it will be considered flaming. If you wish to make an apology, do it through PM/IM.

Message to everyone:

QUOTE(the rule)
3. Trolling/Spamming - No one liners here guys. If you're going to post, give some time and put thought into it. Don't insult someone's stance without backing it up, and certainly don't start something when you haven't been participating in the argument until that post.

Next useless post gets a warning.

QUOTE(qwertyuiop0112358 @ May 10 2010, 04:52 PM) *
Actually in Leviticus 11:3 it says: "You may eat any animal that has a split hoof completely divided and chews the cud." And Leviticus 11:9 says: "Of all the creatures living in the water of the seas and the streams, you may eat any that have fish and scales."

That's nice, but it makes absolutely no sense.

This whole post is a giant facepalm, congrats.

And yours wasn't very productive at all.

The deployment slot means he's neutral at worst and since he's good he's a constant positive. Any team without Ike is automatically weaker since his deployment slot can't be used by another unit. It's a broken argument. Then you add in the other goodies, seizing, and whatever else... It's much easier to just ban Ike.

Ike isn't allowed but Volke and Sothe are? I don't get it.

Oh well, signing up.

Sothe would only be not terrible in the absence of Volke, which implies a character death happened, which is loltastic in debates like these.

Volke's thieving contributions aren't gdlk like Matthew's. You can break doors with weapons, and that's not a bad idea given how slowly weapon levels grow in this game. There's also nothing like a Silver Card to steal.

Volke and Sothe both existing diminishes the worth of both of them, too.

My take on it is that the bible says that due to population issues. The human population was small back then. It's like how Jews and Muslims won't eat pork. It's because they were still n00bs at cooking and storage and got sick and died from it. I don't think God himself ever said "don't eat pork and shellfish."

I think a voting age lower than 16 would be downright ridiculous, but I'm perfectly fine with it being 18. That's when you're legally an adult. Also, the above post is w1n.

The winning choices were two games already done here. One isn't fun to debate, and the other is a pain in the ass to debate. I never said I'd be going with the winner (there was a tie, anyways). I just used that poll and thread to gauge the interest of FEP in debating. And it seems...there is very little interest.

RD got 5 votes, PoR got 3, and SS got 5. I personally don't like SS much, and RD is a pain in the ass to debate, so I went with PoR as a compromise for the RD voters; I'm sure they'd take PoR over SS. SS is likely to be the next game at FEFF.

Rules

1. You have three days to post or you forfeit. You may request extensions with valid reasons.

2. Each debater has three posts. The two posts in the middle of the opener and closer are typically counted for more.

3. The first person listed in a thread title posts first.

4. The winner of the debate will be the first one to receive two votes from those accepted as judges.

5. Titania, Ike, and Reyson are banned.

6. Arguments based on recruitment are banned, such as saying a character being hard to recruit is a negative, or recruiting some character makes them get credit for the recruited character's usefulness.

Objective: Prove your unit is better at completing the game in less turns while considering resource consumption, opportunity costs, availability, benefits to the team as a whole, and anything else you can think of that creates a legitimate point.

Process: Decide via PM or in the discussion thread with your opponent on what characters you're going to use in the debate. Aiming for characters that are considered to be in the same tier is recommended. The first person listed in the thread title opens the debate. After each debater posts three times, it's over, and judges will vote on who wins. Judges are anyone known to be a solid debater, such as myself, CATS, Reikken, Mekkah, and others. The winner advances in the bracket, the loser is out of the bracket. The tournament is double elimination, meaning there is a losers bracket. You have to lose twice to be out.

I will be accepting 8 participants at first. If interest is high, I'll accept more.

Participants

1. Lord Gaga
2. kirsche
3. CATS
4. GeneralMasochist
5. TextOnlySword
6. HF Makalov Fanboy
7. *Is Corrupted*
8. Open.

I'd probably recommend whatever Space Flower recommends. We seem to have a very high compatibility rating and watched a lot of the same stuff.

Lucky Star is shit, btw. How can anyone give it a 10? Even with bias, I can't see it reaching a 10. It's just so lame. If I didn't like Kagami so much, I would have stopped watching it. Konata is pretty cool, I guess, but just too stereotypical imo.

I'm watching Inuyasha: Kanketsu-hen. I'm almost done.

I gave it a 10/10. They are doing in 26 episodes what the 167 before them failed to do. The plot is progressing rapidly with important occurrences constantly happening. They finally aren't afraid to kill major characters. Sesshomaru, Kohaku, and other characters are actually experiencing major development.

This is amazing.
