First of all: today marks the date that, one year ago, FETO opened for playing. Happy anniversary, FETO!
New features and additions - Campaigns! ... coming soon. - Item forging! ... coming soon. - Bonus Exp - this is awarded after each battle, at a rate of 1 bexp per 7 points of exp gained in the battle. It can be used to award your characters level-ups. - You can now kick people from your battles who join and don't ready up within 10 minutes. - You can cancel challenges after sending them. - You can send challenges after posting a battle. Also, when you're sending them, it'll display all the presently online users who have enough characters within the battle's level range. - Three new modes: Sadistic, Backfire and Practice. - There will be 6-player battles allowed, once I add some maps for them. Those should be up in the near future. - In battles, you can view a unit's staff match-ups along with their attack ones. - If a counter-attack, barring a critical, would kill your unit, the formatting changes to notify you of this. - Added a lot of new battle sprites, for many classes. General changes - In Fixed (Semi), the critical hit rate of units is scaled by the original hit rate. That is, 50% hit and 50% critical will become 100% hit and 25% critical, as opposed to 100% hit and 50% critical previously. - In Fixed (Full), critical damage is now more accurately reflected. Status staffs also have had their effectiveness reduced. - To mitigate difficulties finding battles at appropriate levels, level 20 and level **/20 battles now award EXP as well, only at a lower rate (half as much). - Villages/Chests now work differently. Characters will now only pick up items from item types that they can wield (so, a Mercenary only picks up swords, a Mage only picks up Anima tomes, and so on), and also, the chances of finding specific items have been altered slightly. Some new items are also now available in villages. - Newbies can now choose from pre-made teams, as opposed to creating characters themselves. - When creating a character, you can choose from a "Nature," which functions more or less exactly like gender differences, only gives you more options to choose from. - Characters now level up a maximum of 40 times, as opposed to 39. An extra level-up is done when the character promotes. - HP growth additions are worth twice as much (5% adds 10%, and so on). - Decimals are allowed in growth rates. Item changes - The items list has been largely redone from the ground up: http://feto.feplanet.net/items - Some item names have been changed around: Item renamings: Click Here To Show/Hide This Text - New items have been added: New items: Click Here To Show/Hide This Text - There are also a large number of other new items, but they're exclusively to the campaigns. Class changes - Class stats have been altered: http://feto.feplanet.net/class - Every class now has three promotion options. New classes added include: New promotion options: Click Here To Show/Hide This Text - Five new first tier classes, along with three promotions for all of them, have been added. They are: New classes: Click Here To Show/Hide This Text - The CEV bonus that Magister/Inquisitor/Death Knight receive also applies to Staff Evasion. - Wraiths, Missionaries and Mage Knights receive +5% hit. Mechanics changes - The EXP formula has been altered, and generally makes units grow faster. - Weapon EXP is higher for certain weapons, and is also doubled on a kill. - Critical hit damage is reduced to *2.25. Also, the defender's critical hit rate is reduced by 15%. - Weapon effectiveness bonuses are changed, and now depends on the type of unit they're effective against. They are described in detail on the mechanics page. - Weapon Triangle Advantage bonuses depends on how many weapons the user wields. This is described in detail on the battle mechanics page. - When attacking with a Reaver weapon, if you have WTA, then the ATK bonus you get from it is doubled. - Units who wield more than one weapon type have an increased inventory limit. This additional "Item Cache" is only accessible by them, can be done in place of trading on your turn, and can hold up to ( total usable item types - 1 ) * 8 items. - Status evasion formula is changed to: RES*3 + DEF + LCK + Distance*3 - Base hit rate formula is changed to: 1.5 * SKL + LCK - The Advantage Attack has been replaced by a Skill system, not entirely dissimilar to how they worked in the first place. I was right assuming that the ????????? on the main menu bar was campaigns :D
I haven't noticed anything not already posted in this thread though. Oh yeah, skills? I'm not sure if they're in yet since I haven't battled in over a week >> EDIT: New battle types too. |

In case its not overwhelmingly obvious, a lot of the new items are going to be campaign only.
One thing though, is that apparently the Master Fruit drops the user 5 levels. Maybe this needs to be in the description, or at least offer a warning when you use it? |

It was initially going to lower you to 20/1 to give the user the chance to increase weapon levels afforded by the new class.
-Item forge is still 'coming soon' -Fortune is not purchasable from the shops. Did you intend to make it unbuyable? -I'm sure you've heard of the problem with villages already. |
