GMCP, and game manager/game admin (GM/GA) usergroups for moderating and admin'ing FETO affairs, without having full-site-access.
This allows people who aren't Fensti to do such things as post tourneys and such.

I'm figuring out the code; it's something definitely going into the next FETO without a doubt, but I want to add it to current FETO as well, because it is all-around a good idea.

The thing is, from what I see, things like starting tourneys is in the code, but the permissions to do things are hardcoded in the PHP,

What I aim to do, is centralize the tasks involved with working with FETO, and use permissions that can be given and revoked by an admin, not a Dev.

All the management functions are tossed about the interface, some require arcane divination and special HTTP request fields to access, and as it stands, if I give management to someone else, they pretty much can elevate to Root Admin, or cheat at FETO.

As I think I already said to you before, I am 100000000% behind this idea.

I obviously can't be around 100% of the time so having other people who can handle this too will make everything run much, much, much smoother.

I've created a guideline for Game Masters to follow.

As for Game Managers, I have 3 in mind. I won't give out any names yet until the GMCP is complete, but rest assured, there will be GMs.

These are the type of people that will:

Create Tournaments

GMs wll create 2 tournaments at a time. Usually 1 promoted and 1 unpromoted. There will be a maximum of 4 at once. There can be more once FETO picks up activity. Major Tournaments will be 16 people, and prizes will be anything but Campaign-only items. Major Tournaments will usually be Normal. Minor Tournaments will be 8, and prizes will be anything but Campaign-only items and Tournament-only items. Minor Tournaments will usually be anything but normal. Again, as FETO picks up on the activity, the amount of people that can be in a tournament can be increased.

Start Tournaments

GMs will start tournaments once all players entered all of their characters.

Move Tournaments Along

GMs will be here to provide structure to the tournaments, and move them along. They will give players a hard deadline (a week) before starting their match or else they get disqualified. I'm sorry, but if the Sadistic-Adrenaline tournament (here and here) was any indication of a lesson on how a tournament can go without any structure or deadline at all, then that will not bode well moving on. We have to have a deadline, and GMs will be there to enforce that.

Request End Battles (Admin)

GMs will be able to end battles that are requested in this format. If there's no way to end your battle with your opponent in a draw without forfeiting, feel free to request end by admin, and GMs will end the battle for you. However, GMs reserve the right to deny your request, but that is entirely situational. For example, if your characters are stuck in a timeless match, and your opponent has disappeared off the face of the earth, then you have the right to have your battle end by a GM. But in another example, if you were to make a botched first strike, and you know you're going to lose the battle, and you couldn't request end with your opponent, and use the end request by Admin, GMs will use their intuition and decide whether or not to deny your request. They will look at all sort of factors before deciding on your request. They will look at your battle (and its logs), they will skim both of your profiles, and they will check the activity of both of you. Then they will decide what's right for your requested battle end.

Create Auctions

GMs will create Auctions just for your item needs. They will often require items that you can't normally buy at a store. If you're short on Maelstrom, or you were never able to get a Rienfleche, Auctions are your chance to get them. They will last 3 days for you to bid on them, so don't miss out. Also, there will be about 2 weeks between each auction. Out of every 6 auctions, only 1 will have tournament-only items. Out of every 12 auctions, only 1 will have Master Cards. So keep an eye out on the tournaments, because there may be something that will catch your eye.

I'd put all tourneys at 16, with team tourneys being the only 8 man ones. At 8 it is too easy to win a trophy and doesn't gage a person's skill level much. The deadlines that will be implemented now will cut down drastically on the amount of time it takes, and instead we could do the current 16 man set up for minors, and do best of 3 for majors.
