What exactly causes the Freeze, Blindness, and Poison statuses from Fimbulvetr, Shimmer, and Poison? Instinct says Luck, but one person I asked said it was Magic versus the opponent's Resistance. Someone clear this up for me, please? Thank you in advance.

//Edit// As in, what stat activates the possibility for the status effect.

so... if you hit, opponent will get that status.

The only exception is that really low hit rates (well below 50%) in fixed modes can prevent status from activating, but I forget how low they'd have to be presently.
